We are seeking a

*1.0 FTE Permanent -* *Salary: $41.90 per hour*

*Job overview: *Reporting to the Director, Clinical and Allied Health Services, the successful applicant will be responsible for the effective delivery of physiotherapy services to Community Health Centre clients. As a member of the Interprofessional Primary Care Team the Physiotherapist will be responsible for provision of individual client care and treatment provision and planning as well as group and community programing necessary to achieve the objectives of the CHC Strategic Plan. The Physiotherapist will assess clients, plan, and carry out individually designed treatment programs to maintain, improve or restore physical functioning, alleviate pain, and prevent physical dysfunction in clients. This role will work in close collaboration with a diverse interprofessional team to co-develop and implement Community Health programming focused on health promotion, illness, and injury prevention, wholistic health maintenance and rehabilitation.
*Qualifications: *
· Baccalaureate degree or Masters specializing in physiotherapy from a recognized university.
· Be a member and in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.
· A minimum of two years of related physiotherapy experience is an asset.
· Comprehensive knowledge of physiotherapy interventions, practice methods and professional skills and good understanding of the roles of other health care professionals and complementary therapies.
· Up-to-date knowledge of physiotherapy theories, practices, and procedures.
· Knowledge of funding agencies available to assist clients in accessing needed support services and community resources.
· A passion for, and commitment to enhancing community health and wellbeing with marginalized individuals, groups and communities.
· Demonstrated ability to work effectively individually and as part of an interprofessional team.
· Excellent organizational, interpersonal and time management skills
· Be able to pass a criminal background check and vulnerable sector screening.
· Bilingual (French and English) and / or self-identify as Indigenous \*asset
*Responsibilities*:
· Provide client assessment/reassessment, diagnosis, treatment, counselling, and health education for acute and chronic conditions, to maintain, improve or restore physical functioning, alleviate pain, and prevent physical dysfunction in patients, in keeping with regulations of the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario and the guidelines and policies of the CHC.
· Evaluate the effects of treatment at various stages and adjust treatments to achieve maximum benefit and meet the patient's goals and needs.
· Administer manual exercises: instructing, encouraging, and assisting patients in performing physical activities, functional activities, gait, and daily living activities and in using assistive/applicable supportive devices.
· Provide information to the patient about the proposed intervention, its material risks, and expected benefits and any reasonable alternatives.
· Completes assessments and collaborate with Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Registered Nurses, Registered Practical Nurses, Registered Dietitians, Health Promotors and Navigators, Registered Social Workers, Registered Psychotherapists, Counsellors, Community Health and Wellbeing Coordinators, and other health care workers to establish an integrated individualized plan of care.
