Currently we are looking for Student Support Counsellors to support the Amethyst Demonstration School in London. Provide supervision, guidance and instruction in social and life skills for students with severe learning disabilities in a lodging program setting;Plan, organize and implement customized individual and group programs designed to meet the personal, emotional and developmental needs of students using a multi-disciplinary approach, including by not limited to physical activities and recreational programs, safety and behavioral plans, social skills lesson plans;Supervise, guide and instruct students in the lodging program, acting as an appropriate role model, modeling appropriate interpersonal relationships, co-operatives, social skills;Provide sound physical care and maintain a safe and secure environment for students in the lodging program;Conduct structured study time for all students and assist students during study time using a variety of learning tools;Provide an opportunity for students to participate in extra-curricular activities which allow for the appropriate transference and practice of acquired skills;Organize, schedule recreational / leisure / educational programs and activities that meet the varied interests and physical needs of students;Maintaining meaningful and appropriate communication with students, parents and other professionals by, knowing appropriate communication skills with students; preparing reports on student progress for parents, liaising w
